Allyson Felix

Allyson Melissa Felix was birthed in Los Angeles, California on November 18th 1985. Paul Felix, the father of Allyson Michelle Felix is a minister at Master's Seminary Sun Valley. Marlean Felix works as a elementary school teacher at Balboa Magnet. Felix's ability to compete in athletics was evident from the moment she began attending Los Angeles Baptist High School. Ten weeks after the first trial she took the sport, she finished second in 200m in the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championship. Felix graduated from high school and signed an agreement to Adidas. In 2004, she was enrolled at her first year at the University of Southern California, where her major was elementary education. Felix was awarded her first Olympic medal at the 2004 Summer Olympics which took place in Athens Greece. She broke the Junior World Record taking 200m in 22.18 second. In 2005, the Helsinki World Championships saw her become the shortest woman ever to be crowned the winner of the 200-meter race. She defended the title by beating her Jamaican rival Veronica Campbell. Felix competed at the Olympics at Beijing London Rio de Janeiro and Tokyo consistently placing within the top three of her events.
