Lil Tecca

Tyler-Justin Anthony Sharpe was born on August 26 in 2002. He is known as Lil Tecca. The rapper gained fame due to the release of the 2019 hit single "Ransom", which had a peak at number 4 on the Billboard Hot 100. The debut mixtape of his, We Love You Tecca (2019) included the track. It peaked at number 4 in the US Billboard 200. The mixtape also included the singles "Love Me" and "Did It Again". The album he released as his debut studio album, Virgo World (2020) was released at #10 on the Billboard 200 and included the Billboard Hot 100-charting songs "Dolly" as well as "When You Down". The mixtape he followed "We Love You Tecca 2", came out in August 2021. It featured "Repeat It" and "Lot of Me". Tyler-Justin Anthony Sharpe, a Jamaican immigrants, was born in Queens on August 26, 2002. Sharpe was born in Queens' Springfield Gardens, and later relocated to Cedarhurst on Long Island. Sharpe was always hoping to join the NBA as a child however, at the age 12 Sharpe made the decision to pursue a career in music. Sharpe attended Lawrence High School. Tecca at the age of nine at the at the time, was rapping with his friends using his Xbox to record. Tecca and his friends would often make diss tracks about each other. One was uploaded to SoundCloud some time ago, but it was removed. At first, he did not intend to pursue music and instead dreamed of becoming an NBA star. Through his middle school years However, he began to become bored with basketball and began taking music seriously. His first track to gain some traction, "Tectri", was created in collaboration with his buddy, Lil Gummybear, and was released in early 2017. His other tracks comprise "Callin" and "Tectri". Tecca's career exploded a year later, with the smash single "Ransom", which was posted to Cole Bennett's Lyrical Lemonade YouTube channel in May 22nd in 2019. The track peaked at number 4 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart and has had over 900 million plays on Spotify and more than 300 million views on YouTube.
